The Modern Traditional Design Style (often referred to as Transitional) is for you if you want a formal look in your home BUT with the feeling of cozy. You don't like furniture that's too modern or Interiors that are so minimal they feel sterile. You also don't want your grandmother's living room with all matchy-matchy wood furniture and the smell of moth balls. To create your ideal look, start with a neutral backdrop and add geometric or floral patterns in bright colors. Choose furniture that isn't too heavy - i.e. look for sofa with feet and chairs/tables that have legs so their is open space below them. Mix in abstract art with traditional furniture pieces for the perfect balance of modern traditional.
