What is it about the minimalist way of life that draws so many of us to it? Maybe its learning to live with less clutter and feeling a bit more free. Maybe it reminds us of simpler times before cellphones and facebook. Maybe its realizing that relationships are more important than stuff. This Scandinavian Master Bedroom Design is all about focusing on you and your relationships rather than the things around you. The bedroom is a sacred space - one for resting and relaxing with your partner. It shouldn't be cluttered with bills, files from the office, or kids toys. It should be a sanctuary where you can rest at night and escape from the fast-paced world we all live in.
01. Design Mood Board

Scandinavian design isn't about a look, a color palette. or a style. It is a method of designing a space so that the environment is uncluttered, simple, and relaxing. With this design, color and furnishings are kept minimal so that your master bedroom is a retreat. But just because its minimal doesn't mean it has to lack character! We've punched up the design with bold black and white fabrics and decor. In this pastel master bedroom, you can truly feel like you are on a Scandinavian vacation.
02. Finishes

This design focuses on texture rather than color or style of furniture. The bedroom should be a lush environment that invites you to relax and rest rather than just entertain the eye. A neutral backdrop of white and black allows for a soft peach and orange color to play naturally in the space. Wood and white keep the bedroom design minimal and yet cozy. These colors and textures help a small, minimal bedroom feel open, inviting, and personal.
03. Furniture

The furniture has natural, angled forms that are open and airy. Notice how the pieces are light with open space below and between the legs. This helps keep the space from feeling too heavy. This compliments the light, natural colors found in the finishes. So when work or the world around you feels heavy and burdensome, you can come into this Scandinavian designed bedroom space and feel your troubles melt away.
